In conversation with Georgia West on what it takes to be an effective insurance broker

Meet Georgia West, Property Accounts Handler at Albanwise Insurance Services, while balancing the full-time role of motherhood.
Armed with a background in sales, real estate and commercial broking, Georgia believes that it takes a combination of knowledge, skills and focus to understand the needs of clients, taking them on a journey from enquiry to advice.
In a free-wheeling conversation, she tells us what fuels her drive and what it takes to be an effective insurance broker.

Q. Tell us what are the most exciting aspects of being an insurance broker?

“I enjoy building and maintaining relationships, to ensure excellent service for our clients and stakeholders. Being an insurance broker is rewarding and educational, as it provides me with insights needed to navigate this ever-evolving industry.”

Q. Why did you choose to join Albanwise Insurance Services?

It was the opportunity to use my broking skills within an in-house insurance team setting, working directly with the client, that attracted me to the firm. I also joined the team as they promoted a work-life balance and flexibility in the workplace.

Q. From enquiry to providing advice to clients, what is special about Albanwise Insurance Services’ approach?

We are fully transparent with our stakeholders, and work hard to negotiate fair rates and competitive premiums. Above all, our aim is to provide experienced, reliable and trustworthy service to all our clients.

Q. What are your future goals and aspirations?

I hope to study for and obtain my Cert CII in the near future while continuing to grow and excel not only in the insurance industry, but also as a person and a mother.
